Ulysses S Grant National Historic Site – St Louis, MO

You probably already know Ulysses S Grant was the 18th president of the United States and a military general for the Union Army during the Civil War, but did you know he was also an artist? Check out the National Historic Site link here to see a few of his watercolor drawings or better yet, visit in person.

City Museum of St Louis – St Louis, MO

This museum is one your active kids will thank you for taking them to! You may just change their mind about museums and art, and it’s a great way to get the wiggles out after touring a more quiet and traditional museum or historical site. Part of this collection is an artist built sculpture playground, MonstroCity, where you can climb, swing, spin, slide down, tunnel through and more. This  museum is meant to be experienced physically. Check it out!
